DALE Lifting and Handling Specialist has supplied cranes and hoists to almost every industrial sector for decades. They can provide you with specialist knowledge and expertise in whatever you want to lift. Every industry has its unique lifting requirements, but with 1000’s of successful installations in the UK, be assured that our expert team can design and deliver the very best cranes and hoists to meet your needs.
Overhead girder cranes or bridge cranes snd monorail runways are a central part of our business, and we offer a wide range of configurations and lifting capacity.
We use proven pre-engineered components, which provides you with the most economical lifting system
One of our specialists will assess your process to offer the most cost-effective and appropriate overhead crane, whatever your lifting requirements.
MONORAIL GIRDER CRANES / RUNWAYS
Single runway beams, cantilevered, straight, looped or curved, are a simple and effective lifting system that consists of a hoist that moves along a high beam. Typically found in production environments, assembly lines and many other workplaces, they are ideal for increasing the efficiency of various processes and applications and transporting loads safely between workstations lifting and lowering materials mechanically.
Dales’ have decades of experience helping companies with tailored systems to their lifting requirements.
They are manufactured to any length or shape, supporting various hoist types, including electric, pneumatic, and manual options. We offer the latest in power feed technologies and use hoist mounted, remote pendant or radio control to ensure smooth drive and hoisting motions.
Monorail cranes can be supported via cantilever, goalpost support frames or can be attached directly to a workshop or warehouse ceiling.
SINGLE GIRDER OVERHEAD CRANES
Single girder cranes are a popular type of overhead crane. They provide the most cost-effective lifting solution usually provided with an electric or pneumatic chain hoist for indoor or outdoor applications. Our top running single girder crane gives reliability and performance with good coverage over the work area. An overhead crane also provides accurate load positioning and is a safer option than a forklift where people are working
DOUBLE GIRDER OVERHEAD CRANES
Double girder cranes can be configured to work high up into the roof space within a building where the maximum lifting height is a primary requirement. The hoist crab/trolley on a double girder can also provide better side hook approaches than a single girder crane, particularly where large lifting heights are specified.
Double girder cranes are available in greater capacities and spans. They are usually equipped with a wire rope hoist for more headroom. Our top running double girders are designed to run on either four or eight long travel wheels depending on the allowable wheel loads. Multiple trolley gauges are available to accommodate different lifting heights.
UNDERSLUNG GIRDER CRANES
Underslung end carriages are capable of a 7-tonne carriage load and are available in 1 and 2-metre wheel centres as standard. Bespoke options are also available
underslung travelling cranes, also known as under-hung, under-running or suspension cranes, which are ideal for factories and warehouse facilities that require maximum free space with no obstructions. They make for flexible production flow and improve safety and accessibility when a process involves forklift or lorry access as well as cranes. This type of crane runs on track beams forming part of the building roof structure and so does not require supportive floor columns. Instead, the crane bridge travels on the lower flange of the track beams, suspended from the roof or ceiling.
CRANE CONTROLS
Travelling cranes are provided with various operator control systems, including control from a push-button pendant suspended from the hoist or mobile across the crane bridge or fully remote radio control.
CRANE POWER FEED SYSTEMS
All supporting gantries air and electrical feed systems are designed to accommodate relevant site conditions, with full site surveys, carried out.
Electric Crane bridges or runways are delivered with high-quality flat cable electrical equipment including flat cable trolleys running on a C-rail.
Optionally to flat cable electrical equipment the crane down shop system can be delivered with enclosed or open conductor bars. Enclosed conductor bar is installed beside the crane or runway
All installations are proof load tested, CE marked and supplied with a Declaration of Conformity.
The design and fabrication facilities available from Dale Engineering Services have the capabilities and resources to create equipment for specialist applications in all areas of lifting equipment, height safety, and material handling.
CRANE HOIST OPTIONS
A wide range of electric or air operated hoists and manipulators can be supplied to suit most applications.
Electric and air powered chain hoists or electric wire rope hoists can be selected to suit your needs.
We are agents for most leading brands and if you wish to specify a particular brand we will do our best to accommodate your requirements
CRANE KITS
Alternatively, we can supply cranes in kit form for self-build and export applications. Kits are available from simple push travel beam with a manual hoist to twin beam overhead electric travelling cranes
