Making a purchase could not be easier. Please browse our online catalogue for the products you require. And, having found an item or items that you wish to buy, please read our delivery information panel, and if acceptable, select ‘Add to Cart’. After you have finished your selection, you can continue shopping or continue through the shopping basket process and you will be asked for a few details that we will need to be able to satisfy the order. In the payment section of the shopping cart you can select a method of payment.
Use our quotation service for UK post codes that are outside of our standard delivery zone i.e. IV, KW, PA, AB, HS, BT, TR, P030-42, IM, JE, GY, TR21-25 and all overseas customers where delivery charges need to be quoted or where delivery time is critical. We will provide you a quotation with our best prices and delivery costs, plus relevant terms (See T & C's) and despatch times. You will be invited to continue through to purchase, ask for a re-quote or to decline.
Special Products which are offered as ‘Add to Quote’ only are generally pre-orders, made to order or have variable costs due to currency changes or maybe on extended delivery (See returns policy) – Please select the product you wish to purchase through our online quotation service and we will quote accordingly with our best prices and delivery costs (Quotation prices valid 30 days), plus terms and despatch times (Despatch times are valid on the day of quotation and may vary if you do not order immediately). On receipt of our quotation you will be invited to continue through to purchase, ask for a re-quote or decline
Buying from within the UK
Sagepay provides our secure online credit card and debit card payment. We accept Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard, UK Maestro, Solo and Visa Debit or pay with Paypal. You may also submit your credit card information via phone, fax, letter or over the Internet. Alternatively, you can request a Pro-forma invoice for cheque or BACS payments.
Credit Card Security
All credit card numbers are encrypted in the payment gateway software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.
Buying from outside the UK
If you are shopping from outside the UK, you can place your order through the ‘Add to Quote’ process or contact us on 00 44 161 1990 or by email sales@dale-lifting.co.uk for shipping costs for adding to the transaction total. Please note we do NOT accept payment via credit or debit card for international orders. All international orders are to be paid for in full prior to despatch via Bank Transfer (BACS). No other forms of payment can be accepted.
We reserve the right to decline to quote export enquiries. For more information and or an export quotation, please contact our sales team.
Shipping And Handling
Delivery charges will be shown in the shopping cart - Some parts of Scotland and off-shore islands and overseas customers may incur extra delivery charges other than that stated. We will always advise the cost before delivery. For some selected products our prices include FREE packing and delivery to the UK mainland only. Please use our online Post Code checker.
Delivery Schedule
Most ‘Add to Cart’ goods will be delivered within 2/3 working days of receipt of order dependant on stock levels at the time of ordering. (Orders placed after 16.30 Monday to Thursday and after 14.30 on Fridays will not be processed until the next working day) Pre-order and made to order products (See terms and conditions) can be on longer delivery. We will always endeavour to let you have a delivery date, where possible
Back Orders
If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
Tax Charges
For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 20% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free and you should contact us
Returns
Products status designation:-
- Standard Products – Off-the-shelf available to purchase on line i.e. ‘Add to Cart’ and with ‘Add to Quote’ options.
- Special Order - Non-standard, pre-order, specifically sourced or custom-made products – Available to quotation only i.e. ‘Add to Quote’ is only option for purchase. For further information refer to our Returns and Cancellations Policy
Returns - Standard Products
- All returns MUST be made within 14 days of receipt of goods
- If you wish to return an item for any reason except being faulty or we have sent the wrong goods we will only accept items that are on our current stock list. Any products that has been specially made to your specification see next - Returns - Non-standard clause below.
- If your goods are delivered damaged, we will replace them or refund you, provided that they have not been used. If the goods have been used, they will be deemed fit for purpose, and we reserve the right not to replace or refund them.
- If your goods are delivered damaged, we reserve the right to collect them from the delivery address stated on your order.
- If the goods are to be collected, this may be on a different day to any replacement goods being delivered.
- If you wish to return an item to us, please contact Customer Services on 0161 223 1990 or on sales@dale-lifting.co.uk BEFORE returning any item. They will discuss this with you.
Returns - Non-standard (Quote only pre-order or custom-made products)
- We are sorry but we cannot accept returns or provide refunds of special pre-orders from third-party supply partners, non-standard or custom-made products i.e. Special order where goods have been specifically sourced, material has to be specifically cut to size, adapted to your requirements, custom made to your measurements or that have been made to your design. Some UK sourced items may, in exceptional circumstances, be eligible for partial refunds. Please contact our sales team for clarification on 0161 223 1990 or email sales@dale-lifting.co.uk before placing an order.
- We will do our very best to make sure your special order is correct but as part of the process we also ask you to check the quotation we send to you. Please make sure that you are satisfied that all specifications and dimensions are correct prior to processing your order. We cannot be held responsible if you do not inform us immediately of any changes required prior to us placing any special orders with our suppliers or commencing production.
- If your special order goods are delivered damaged we will arrange to effect repairs or replace them. If the goods have been used they will be deemed fit for purpose and we reserve the right not to repair or replace without additional costs.
- If your goods are delivered damaged we reserve the right to collect the damaged goods from the UK mainland delivery address stated on your order. All other locations subject to consultation.
- If the damaged special order goods are to be collected this may be on a different day to any repaired or replacement goods being delivered.

3. PRICING
3.1 Our prices are shown exclusive of VAT. 3.2 Where we charge separately for packing, carriage and insurance and other relevant charges, the appropriate rates are set out in our specified pricing structure shown elsewhere on this Website. 3.3 Our prices are reviewed periodically.
4. CANCELLATION AND RETURNS POLICY
If you wish to cancel your order A) You can notify us before we have despatched the goods to you; or B) Where goods have already been despatched to you, by returning goods to us in accordance with clause 4.2 below. 4.2 You can return goods purchased online from us for any reason. You have 14 calendar days to notify us of an item to be returned from the date you received it. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. Any items must be returned to us within 30 days of receipt. Your item must be in the original packaging. Your item needs to have a receipt or proof of purchase. Whilst delivery charges for goods purchase online through our shopping cart will be refunded, the costs of returning goods to us shall be borne by you. Refunds
4.3 Once we receive your item, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received your returned item. We will immediately notify you on the status of your refund after inspecting the item.
If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your credit card (or original method of payment). You will receive the credit within a certain amount of days, depending on your card issuer's policies.
Items Not Eligible for a full refund
4.4 The rights to return the goods to us as referred to in clause 4.3 will not apply in the following circumstances: - A) In the event that the product has been used B) Items quoted (Not purchased on line) and supplied that have been specially manufactured, assembled or customised to your specific requirements. Any special work items cancelled or returned after any work is started will incur a handling charge (Varies subject to item, please contact us for clarification). Special Items delivered and subsequently returned will be subject to full transport charges and these charges will be deducted from your purchase payment. The provisions of this clause 4.4 do not affect your statutory rights.
